“Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses. We must be learning all our lives.” Florence Nightengale.
As we reflect on 2025, the NEAOHN board of Directors would like to thank our membership for their ongoing support. In Jan 2023, we had 484 members. In February 2023, we began our “Show the Love” membership drive, and as of 01/11/2026 - we have 1,472 active members (CT 59, DE 117, ME 77, MA 409, NH 87, NJ 150, NY 150, PA 261, RI 24, VT 19 and Out of Region 58.)
Our 2025 Wins:
Webinar member attendance totaled 368 – making our grand total since we began in May, 2023 – 1,743 members who have participated in our 30 webinars! Special Thank you to our 2025 member presenters Lori Burke (MA) and Kim Olszewski (PA).
Once again, through the generosity of Medique, scholarships were awarded to our well-deserved members – Thank you and Congratulations to Everett Sparks (DE), Peg Taylor (MA), Deb Werts (ME), Susan Benoit (NH), Monika Fernandes (NJ), Ann Marie Loiseau (PA), and Beckie Odell Bethel (VT).
Recent Board of Director changes:
Brooklyn Shatney (NH) has moved from her elected position as Secretary and accepted an appointment as Treasurer. We thank Nancy Clover (MA) for her long tenure as our Treasurer. Her impact has left NEOAHN with a solid fiscal foundation.
The Board has approved Beckie Odell Bethel (VT) as interim President. Beckie formerly held the role of Vice President and enthusiastically accepted the appointment. She has many creative and solid ideas she will be sharing as she prepares for the Elections in 2026.
It has been an honor serving as your President, and I encourage all, especially new members to get involved at your state or regional level in some small way. The benefits of professional support and soon to be lifelong friends. I guarantee laughter awaits you!
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and successful 2026!
Gail Carchietta RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN – President Ex-officio.
