Presenter: Jason Pittman, MD FAAOS

Dr. Pittman is a spine surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he is a Co-Director for the Spine Center. He holds a teaching appointment as Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Pittman received his medical degree from University of Tennessee in Memphis and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine. In addition, he completed his fellowship in Spine Surgery at the University of Washington, Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Pittman specializes in the surgical management of adult spine disorders with a focus on minimally invasive surgery.

Objectives:

1. At the end of the program, the learner will have gained knowledge of the indications for endoscopic spine surgery.

2. At the end of the program, the learner will have a better understanding of the limitations associated with current outcome data.

3. At the end of the program, the learner will have gained insight to the potential future advancements and expansion of the endoscopic spine surgery approach.

This course is limited to the first 100 registrants and is free to NEAOHN members!

This continuing education activity has been submitted for approval by the Ohio Nurses Association to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association is an Ohio Board of Nursing approver of continuing education. (OBN-001-91)
