Candidate Statement: Occupational Health Nurses (OHN) provide health expertise to companies and their employees, which results in higher productivity, improved morale, and company compliance with state and federal regulations. This very important role was put to the test and in the spotlight during the pandemic. I believe it was, and is, our time to shine. As President of the MaAOHN, I want to showcase the occupational health nurse role with increased communication to companies, the public, the media, and undergraduate nursing schools to promote and strengthen our field. I believe we can embrace and engage our individual members, increase membership, and celebrate our comradery, professionalism, and combined expertise. I am excited to lead with positivity, energy, and mutual respect to give my best and bring out the best from our team. We can be proud of our impact to workers’ health.
I have over 36 years of experience in occupational health with roles as Director of Clinical Operations at Premise Health, board certifications in occupational health nursing, case management, hearing conservation, and adult nurse practitioner. I have presented at 59 international, national, and local conferences. I have served as an officer or on the Board of MaAOHN for eight years as past Vice President, Director representing Central Massachusetts and President. I also served as Central Massachusetts AOHN past President and Vice President. If elected President of MaAOHN, I will give you my very best to lead our organization with integrity, strength, enthusiasm, and respect.

Candidate Statement: As Vice President my key focus would be to increase awareness and interest in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing to sustain the profession. I believe it is critical to raise our visibility within the educational community and to educate and encourage young nurses to consider this field as a career choice in order to ensure a that we continue to meet the healthcare needs of an ever growing workforce.

Candidate Statement: First time candidate interested in expanding my knowledge and giving back to our outstanding profession that has supported my growth as an Occupational Health Nurse and Nurse Practitioner by serving as a board member in a directorship role.

Candidate Statement: I have been a member of AAOHN and MaAOHN since 2018 and have increased my attendance and participation at MaAOHN and NEAOHN events over the years. I enjoy promoting our MA chapter to my OHN colleagues and encouraging newer OHNs why membership, ongoing professional education, and networking with colleagues is so important. I was new to the Director role, and had anticipated continuing for next term, but am happy to be on the ballot to support the open Nominating Committee position and learn new skills.

Name: Michael Dolliver, RN, MHA, CCM, COHN-S
Candidate Statement:
Michael Dolliver RN, MHA, CCM COHN-S has 13 years’ experience in occupational health at both chemical and defense manufacturing companies. He received his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Regis College and his nursing degree from the University of West Alabama. He was a past Vice President of Massachusetts Association of Occupational Health Nurses (MaAOHN) and served as Class President in college. He has received the Moore medical and Montag nurse leadership awards. Michael has also presented on numerous topics at regional and internation conferences. Including, mental health, triage and workplace violence. Prior to his occupational health career, Michael worked in dialysis, infectious disease, and HIV primary care at Mass. General Hospital as well as community health in South Boston.
