Free continuing education program Ergonomics in Healthcare

 

This online program was developed to combat the high rates of musculoskeletal injuries, which are the leading occupational hazard among nursing staff.   

 

Participants who complete the program will learn:

  • the risk factors involved in musculoskeletal injuries
  • why nurses in particular are at risk
  • ergonomic principles and risk reduction strategies 
  • the essential components of a Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program

Ergonomics in Healthcare meets the MA Board of Nurse Registration requirements for 5 contact hours. It is is free of charge, and self-paced allowing professionals to finish the program based on their availability.
