Assists the Global Health Campus Lead in the management and administration of health services at assigned locations. Organizes and facilitates the function of the occupational health department (s) at a specific site (s). Ensures delivery of integrated services, including Occupational Health, Wellness and EAP, in accordance with Johnson & Johnson Global Health and regulatory guidelines and in alignment with the business needs of our customers. Leads a team of Global Health professionals and facilitates teamwork and effective communications within the team. Supervises and evaluates work performance of the Occupational Health staff in terms of patient care, staff relationships and efficiency of service. Recruits and interviews Global Health Services job candidates, orients and trains new staff. Responsible for staff professional development and mentors new Global health professionals as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of nursing services at a site (s) with emphasis on injury/illness management, medical surveillance, worker’s compensation case management and disability management. 
  • Accountable for delivery of all Health, Wellness, and EAP services delivered by our integrated global health team. Partners with members the Safety team to assure effective implementation of Medical Surveillance programs. 
  • Assists the Global Health Campus Lead in the planning and delivery of nursing services at other assigned locations. 
  • Delivers an Occupational Health program that complies with J&J standards, procedures, strategy and legal requirements. 
  • Develops and implements a site business plan that incorporates Global Health strategic goals and objectives into operating company business plans. 
  • Supervises and/or mentors professional and technical staff at assigned locations.
  • Develops and monitors clinic operations budgets. Assures effective communication occurs within the team, with key customers and with the Global Health Services Campus Lead. 
  • Responsible for team building within assigned location(s). 
  • Motivates others to achieve high quality outcomes; leads team to implement and manage innovation and change; drives business results. 
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints. 
  • Facilitates recruitment, orientation and training of new staff. 
  • Develops annual site updates and program outcome reports for review with on-site customers. 
  • Leads or participates on internal or cross functional projects and teams. Interfaces with operating company management; Human Resources; Safety professionals; outside vendors for health & wellness; occupational health management; Health & Safety management; external and internal technical, professional and business experts. 
  • Staff direct reports will include Senior Occupational Health Nurse; Occupational Health Nurse; Nurse Practitioner; Occupational Health Technician; and Global Health Coordinator. 
  • May use temporary or outside services for specific tasks from time to time. 
  • Indirect Reports may include service providers as designated by Global Health Campus Lead.


  • Current Registered Nurse license for the State of Pennsylvania required. 
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in delivery and management of health services is required; BSN preferred
  • An active Certification (or in-process) as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) is preferred. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience of diverse health care and business experience is required. 
  • A minimum of three (3) years of Occupational Health Nursing experience required 
  • Experience in the supervision of health care professionals is required.
  • Phlebotomy skills preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Health Services business plan protocols, processes and practices is required. 
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills as extensive interaction with team members, customers and management is required and must have the ability to deliver effective written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrated business acumen (leadership, problem solving, working with teams, problem resolution, and conflict management) required. 
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory areas (ie OSHA, ADA, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, GINA, State Nurse Practice Act) required. 
  • Experience working with a computer based medical documentation system and knowledge of Microsoft Products in preferred.
  • Strong and accurate typing skills preferred
  • This position is located in Fort Washington, PA and will require up to 10% domestic travel
