Job Overview – Pediatric Registered Nurse (IDD Care):

Compensation: $42/hour

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Schedule: Flexible weekday shifts available: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Our client is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct care for children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a community-based setting in Philadelphia, PA. In this on-site role, you’ll deliver skilled nursing care, educate families, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support each child’s medical and developmental needs. Weekday shifts are flexible, with options for 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM.

Responsibilities as the Pediatric Registered Nurse (IDD Care):

  • Care Delivery: Provide nursing care according to physician orders, assess and respond to each child's needs, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Individualized Planning: Contribute to and follow each child’s Individualized Program Plan, adjusting care recommendations based on health assessments.
  • Collaboration: Communicate changes in children’s health to the Care Team and engage in collaborative care planning.
  • Education: Instruct families on specialized care practices, supporting their involvement in the child’s care routine.
  • Compliance: Ensure all clinical documentation and incident reporting meet established standards, maintaining confidentiality and respect for families and colleagues.

Qualifications for the Pediatric Registered Nurse (IDD Care):

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on pediatric experience managing tracheostomy and ventilator care independently, without respiratory therapist support (home care experience preferred).
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification for infants and children required.
  • Attributes: Respectful and supportive of home environments, with a compassionate approach to pediatric care.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license required.
